Motel 6 is a core part of the GIGM southern hub. It is adjacent to Quality Inn, sharing a large parking area. The Red Lion Inn is located 1.2 miles north and requires a separate stop.
Efficient Routing Strategy:
- Southern Hub: Since this venue is right next to Quality Inn, you can park once and visit both shows on foot.
- Drive to Red Lion: After visiting the southern venues, drive 3-4 minutes (1.2 miles) north to Red Lion Inn.
- Walking Warning: Walking to Red Lion is not recommended. The distance is too far, dusty, and exposed to Tucson’s extreme heat or cold.

Description
The GIGM Motel 6 Gem & Mineral Show (formerly Howard Johnson) is a key destination within the GIGM show cluster. Known for its extensive variety of merchandise, it hosts over 60 worldwide vendors.

Argentinian Rhodochrosite
There is the Argentinian Rhodochrosite shop, and they have a large quantity of rhodochrosite. I purchase a piece of rhodochrosite at the last show. The shop signed the price on the minerals with a permanent marker. I hope they will stop it.
